Pita Jungle and the ducks!

After we had Eva's hair cut, we went out for lunch to the Pita Jungle. If you have never eaten at the Pita Jungle, click here. My favorite dish is the Roasted Bell Pepper Hummus, which I could eat every day!

The Pita Jungle in Chandler is in a strip mall along a small man-made "lake" with a fountain. When we finished eating, Eva wanted to walk along the path by the lake and see the ducks.

She loved chasing those ducks!!

My first haircut!

This morning Mommy took me to get my first haircut! I have gone with Mommy to Mama's hair appointments many times, so I knew Rachel (Mama's hair stylist). However, when we got there, I became very shy and did not want to have the cape put on me. Mama had to stand and hold me because I didn't even want to sit in Mommy's lap! I was fine in Mama's arms and Rachel was even able to cut my bangs.

Red Robin, yummm

On Eva's birthday, the 20th, Mama and Papa Blomker, Auntie Alisha and "Uncle" Shane, Mommy, Daddy and Eva went to Red Robin for Eva's free birthday meal. As many restaurants do, a number of servers came over and announced to the whole restaurant that Eva turned 2 that day. They then proceeded to sing their Happy Birthday song to her. I am not sure she really knew what to think!

Eva was, however, quite thrilled to receive her birthday sundae! She ate that whole thing by herself! Mommy and Daddy only got a couple of bites each!

Wearing Esha's shoes...

Eva LOVES shoes! I swear, every day she has to take out of our closet pretty much every pair I own and wear them in our bathroom. It really is cute, besides being something for her to do while I take a shower!

At her birthday party, she found Auntie Alisha's (Esha's) shoes and decided to take them for a stroll outside. I thought she looked adorable in her birthday dress and the heels! : )

I think her father and I will have our hands full if her love of shoes continues!

Happy Birthday Eva!

Eva turned 2 on April 20th!!
We had a party for her on Saturday the 19th and she had so much fun!
Even though the weather was cloudy and the pool a chilly 74 degrees (Brrr!), Eva and her cousins went for a short dip.
Eva loved opening her presents - wanting to play with everything right away and then wanting to rip into the next present.
Here she is trying out her new table and chairs.

We had one of our neighbors make Eva's cake. I gave her a plate for inspiration...

...and this is what she made. She did a great job and the cake was DELICIOUS!!!

Eva was fascinated with the candles and after I "helped" her blow them out, she wanted to do it again!

Here is Eva enjoying her cake...

Happy 2nd Birthday, pumpkin. Mommy and Daddy love you dearly!!

Our "little" girl

Our little girl is getting so big. Almost every day Shane and I marvel at how she has lost the "baby" and is looking so much older.
Eva is growing up. How bittersweet.

Allergy doctor!

Last month, as the weather was getting so wonderful and we were outside a lot, Eva started showing signs of allergies. She had watery eyes, a clear runny nose, some sneezing, and she rubbed her eyes and nose. Shane and I never came down with anything, so we thought it may be allergies. I took her to a Pediatric Allergist and had her tested. Eva has slight allergies right now, however they more than likely will get worse before they get any better. : (

This picture was taken in the doctor's office while we waited for the test to run it's course. She had the test done on her back, where she was pricked with 16 different items/groupings. The largest reaction, thus her biggest allergy right now, is to feathers (duck, goose, chicken). Eva also showed a reaction to a few others, and the culprit was probably the tree mixture she was allergic to, since we had been outside so much while the trees were budding out.

We will go back next year to have the testing done again and see if she has more allergies and what they may be.

A new bedroom!

This past weekend we finally finished getting Eva settled into her new bedroom. Even though we only have 3 weeks until the newest Kiesow is scheduled to arrive, my hope is that she doesn't catch on to that reason for moving her to the new room. For the past month, we have been hyping up the fact that she is going to get a new bedroom and had her help through the process. So far she is enjoying her "new bedroom", as she is calling it, and hasn't seemed to mind. Let's keep our fingers crossed! : )

Mommy-to-be

For most everyone, you haven't seen a pregnant picture of me yet. So, here you go - 36 weeks along. I am feeling pretty good - just really ready for this little one to make it's entrance to the world. Eva has enjoyed feeling the baby move and gets wide-eyed when she feels a kick. How sweet she is!
