Yesterday, Eva learned that the Easter bunny left some eggs in our yard. She had fun going around our backyard searching for them. When she realized that there were some of her favorite treats inside (yogurt covered raisins), she was even more excited!

Papa's Work Picnic
Today was Papa's work picnic (for Hunter Contracting). Eva had so much fun there! They had a lot of fun things for the little ones Eva's age, like a clown that made balloon shapes, an Easter egg hunt (in a large pile of hay), and a toddler size bouncy house.
This first picture is of the mini-excavators they had for the "older kids" (over 18). Papa was playing in one and they let us take some pictures with Eva sitting on his lap. Any piece of machinery is an "excavator" to Eva and belongs to Papa : )

Below is Eva in the bouncy house. She really enjoyed following the other kids around and jumping in it. There was even a tiny slide that she would go down.

"Bluppie" song
Eva loves to sing. She is learning the songs on her CD's and sings along. Even when there is no music, Eva will burst out in song (or rather, part song). She knows "Yes, Jesus me" (Jesus Loves Me), "Everybody know Jesus" (Everybody Ought to Know), "Jer-cho" (Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho), and "Follow Jesus" (I Have Decided to Follow Jesus). I have also been teaching her hand movements to 2 songs she knows: The B-I-B-L-E and Deep and Wide.
Lately, she has made up a song about her blankie, which she has always called her "bluppie". It is a simple song, yet adorable none-the-less. The song goes something like this: b-lu-ppie, b-lu-ppie, b-lu-ppie, b-lu-ppie.... Eva sings this song quite often and has even woken us up in the morning to a lovely rendering of it.
What a joy it is listening to her angelic little singing voice!
